Private Practice
I have worked on high-profile cases in private practice, including criminal trials and internal investigations. I began my legal career at the international firm Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in 2001. There, I handled many critical investigations and white-collar criminal matters. Upon leaving the government in early 2019, I embarked on a new chapter as a litigation partner at Benesch Friedlander Coplan & Aronoff LLP in Chicago.
Within my first year of private practice, I was co-counsel for the lead defendant in one of the largest Department of Justice criminal cases involving a doctor. I helped win the acquittal and dismissal of multiple charges.
In the spring of 2022, I established my solo practice. In my first two years, I helped win the acquittal and dismissal of all criminal charges against an interventionalist cardiologist. I also helped win the dismissal of a criminal healthcare fraud conspiracy charge against a doctor, and I helped win a ruling against the government when it sought a large restitution amount in a kickback case.
Throughout my private practice, I’ve assisted lawyers across the country and been a resource on healthcare fraud matters. I've also given numerous talks to groups such as the Federal Defender Program in Chicago, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Asian-Pacific American Bar Association.
